Dignity Drive

We're supporting the Dignity Drive collection being held by Share the Dignity in March & August by stitching re-usable cloth pads. These will be made into kits with a selection of absorbency levels, a hanging strap for drying, and care instructions - ready for distribution by the Share the Dignity team.

It's a great way to use up all the off-cuts left from our cloth nappy workshops. If you fancy helping out with this worthwhile cause - reach out, I'll always have a spare seat for a helper! (and you can learn all about re-usable pads while you're helping)

Pattern Review - Love Notions - Laundry Day Tee

Posted on 10 December, 2021 at 1:55

I recently decided to try the Love Notions ‘Laundry Day Tee’ which is a free PDF pattern - it gets quite a bit of hype on on-line sewing forums, and I needed some new tops for the warmer weather. To qualify for the free pattern, you just have to be a member of the Love Notions Pattern Support Group on Facebook - easy!

Features: a very easy wearing, flattering swing shape; tee, tunic and dress length; scoop, vee or cowl neck; tank, short, elbow, ¾ and long sleeves; hi-lo hem option for the tunic & dress; and available in sizes XS - 5XL. The pattern also includes a full bust adjustment option as well - exciting for us curvy girls!

While PDF patterns can be a pain to prepare, this file has an A0 option for plan printing at Officeworks, a projector file, or the A4 print pages are no-trim so it’s very quick and easy to stick together

I found the style a little full for my liking, and also found the shoulder/sleeve seam needed an adjustment as they poked up a bit. However, now I’ve done all my adjustments I think it will become my go-to tee pattern - it’s a very quick and easy sew! (I’ve already whipped up 3 in the tunic length and I’m looking forward to playing around with the tee length!!).
